PIT count:

As per the Annual Homeless Assessment Report, all attending COC's report their homeless numbers to congress on one day a year, it serves as a snapshot for progress or regression of homelessness in their respective service areas. PIT (Point in time) is the snapshot process for organizations to go about recording and submitting this data to congress.
